So let's not wait any longer, this minute let's get to know more about Sampah Kings.
Firstly, how and why do you guys start creating Sampah Kings?
It started with a late-night conversation between two friends. We are on the verge of making NFT art because we were previously in the creative field and trading NFT on another blockchain. We wanted our NFT to have a meaningful purpose, and at the time, we were both very upset with how Malaysians were ‘trashing’ this country! We have seen Malaysians stop their vehicles at RnR, empty their car rubbish and dump it in the parking lot many times. We also see open burning happening without the doer being or looking worried about the consequences even though the law prohibits it, and the worst part is this happens every day in our neighbourhood.
In comparison, when we go abroad, we look at how clean some countries are and see that everyone has a role to play in keeping their country clean and reducing their carbon footprint. This frustration with people’s mentality sparked the idea to create Sampah Kings NFT.
Sampah King's story is surely out of the ordinary!
Now, tell us who inspires Sampah Kings NFT?
We named it Sampah Kings just because well, we are the 'sampah' of the blockchain. Our central concept is based on the saying, "One person's trash, another's property." The story of how the Kings emerged is an original idea adapted to support conserving the environment.
Our main goal is to raise awareness of environmental causes and link blockchain technology with recycling to encourage more people to reduce, reuse and recycle. Go Green! But yes, there are still many obstacles that we must overcome in the future. The artwork for Sampah Kings was created soon after discovering the intersection between blockchain and art. And you guess it right! We couldn't turn down the opportunity and start minting right away.

What's the most memorable story for Sampah Kings NFT?
Our most unique experience was the release of Sampah Kings -The Legendary Guitar series. As music is our pleasurable pastime, we made a collection of Sampah Kings based on legendary guitars in the world, such as the famous Slash Les Paul 'Appetite' signature guitar.

To be honest, we really enjoyed the whole process of minting this series, and the most remarkable thing about it is that everything sold out within a few seconds, which we could hardly believe.
I wish I had that #045. I mean, it's a frickin' Slash's guitar. The owner sure is one lucky man. Truly appreciate this series. Great one Sampah Kings!
Can you share the process?
As always, the first thing to do is create a model for the character. After that, we were able to focus on the material to tell the type of story. Each material is supreme, hand-selected, and some patterns are even made from scratch.
For instance, our family buys and collects batik designs from generation to generation, and what we do is turn them into art for Sampah Kings.
For the software part, we usually use various software, namely Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4d, Arnold render, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After effects, and more. Frankly, we believe that software is just a tool and as a creator, we should not confine ourselves to just one software.

What is Sampah Kings's wow factor?
Our wow factor, we believe, is Green Sustainability! We want to work to change the mentality of local people about garbage disposal and build a decentralized community that cares about the environment. In other words, this is to promote a greener culture in Malaysia.
I am wow-ed! Love the purpose and concept! I wish all creators could include some meaningful purpose behind their artworks as well. Saving the world through art, ain't that what cool artists do!
Last of all, what do you think about NFT art in Malaysia?
NFT in Malaysia is still fresh and still very early. Anyone who enters now is considered an early adopter because the technology around the world is still new.
Our NFT market is growing every day, and there are lots of new people joining the space daily, which is absolutely great because we get to see more great artwork and projects pop up as well. However, the NFT market in Malaysia is not like the marketplace such as Opensea, CNFT, SOL nft, and so on. Ours is different in many ways, and that difference makes it special.
As a matter of fact, the NFT community in Malaysia is the best we have ever experienced. The amount of support and ideas they have is amazing, and we are so lucky to be able to be a part of this incredible community.
